VP candidate urges voters to trust Clinton
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine Thursday defended his liberal credentials, saying that he’s changed his stance on social issues such as same-sex marriage, family values and more over the years.
It was there Kaine picked up a fluency in Spanish, a fact put on display several times throughout his convention address. “She lassoed him. She brought him to Virginia and Virginia made him governor, now senator, now [potentially] vice president of the United States”.

In picking Kaine, Clinton hopes to further define her candidacy as hopeful and competent ― as well as brand her opponent, Donald Trump, as a reckless con-man.
“Truth be told, the richest thing about Donald Trump is his hypocrisy”, Bloomberg said.
Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are hitting the road Friday as the Democratic Party’s official White House ticket, launching a three-day bus tour through Pennsylvania and OH to highlight their economic vision.
Clinton also repeated a line from her DNC speech that seems sure to become a slogan of her campaign: “There is nothing wrong with America that can’t be cured by what’s right with America”.
“Tim Kaine seems like he knows a lot of family recipes by heart”, quipped Josh Gondelman.
Kaine said he would never trust Trump as president. “We might as well be talking about two different countries, or as somebody said to me, two different planets”. “So would I, and so would many other people in life”.
The problem, of course, is that Kaine was governor of Virginia.
She told her father: “I’ve got some competition in Kansas City, but I’ll take care of that”. “I have seen all kinds of insane stuff happen and I think everybody that goes into campaigns not running scared can end up losing”. Donald Trump has a passion too: “himself”, Kaine said.
“Folks, you can not believe one word that comes out of Donald Trump’s mouth”, Kaine contended. But unlike Elizabeth Warren, who was considered a strong option for the vice presidency in part because of her gleeful serving up of Trump, Tim Kaine’s delivery couldn’t have been more gracious.
