VP contenders Pence, Kaine to campaign in NC next week
Hours after Clinton officially became the first woman to become a major party’s nominee, she said that after her excitement from the night wore off, she was struck by the gravity of the campaign.
Kaine encouraged voters to make America stronger together by picking Hillary. When he was governor of Virginia, he supported parental consent laws for young women seeking abortions as well as a partial-birth abortion ban. “It’s not so much that I’m on the ticket, it’s because of the stark choice that’s posed to Americans in this election”.
“I humbly accept my party’s nomination to be Vice President of the US…And can I be honest about something? I’d rather just go out and pound the pavement”, the Virginia Senator added. Trump said at a rally in Denver. “Her speech was morning in America”.
Leo Gerard, the president of the United Steelworkers, which represents roughly 200 of the 260 workers employed by Johnstown Wire Technologies, assured the crowd in his introduction of Clinton that Republicans have been “telling lies” about Clinton’s stance on the deal.
“As I’ve been saying, I’m just glad to see the Democratic Party in more rural areas, especially in the 12th, which has a lot of issues that we need to face, so I’m glad that this area’s getting some acknowledgement”, McClelland said. And, also to be perfectly honest, when he did, I knew his explanation would be Cliinton-esque in its insincerity.
Clinton, surrounded by factory equipment and spooled iron, attacked Trump’s business record and argued that the more people listen to the Republican nominee talk, the more they realize “he is not offering real change, he is offering empty promises”. But on Wednesday he showed off a new skill: a mean Donald Trump impression.
The bus tour will take the pair to Pennsylvania and OH, two states that are critical battlegrounds in the November election.
The Democratic National Convention may be over but social media is still abuzz.
Clinton is playing up economic opportunity, diversity and national security.
The primary focus of the bus tour is jobs and the economy, including a plan for the first 100 days of a Clinton-Kaine administration.
Democrats contrasted their optimistic message with the more troubled vision of the state of the nation presented by Trump and others at the GOP convention a week earlier. But Kaine recently told the Weekly Standard that he had not been informed of that change.

“We better elect the candidate who’s proven she can be trusted with the job”, he said. “Your cause is our cause”.
