Lowe FS increased its position in Wal-Mart Stores by 0.6% in the third quarter. But the giant retailer said Wednesday that hourly workers employed in its stores as of December 31 would get at least a 2% pay bump.

For part-time workers, the hourly wage will be $10.58, up from $10. Wal-Mart has said its investment in wages is depressing profits; labor costs were a main factor behind an earnings warning in October.
