Walmart is starting Cyber Monday on Sunday

Last year, Americans spent $2 billion on Cyber Monday.

Walmart.com merchants closely watched customer search and demand trends in the months leading up to the holidays and significantly expanded the assortment for Cyber Monday in the most sought-after categories. Last year, Walmart saw a sharp increase in visits to Walmart.com during this time period.

The Walmart Cyber Monday start time for 2015 has already begun, as the retailer has announced that their online sales event is to start on the Sunday this year, and not on the Monday.

Cyber Monday is a shopping phenomenon that started years ago by shoppers who wanted to continue shopping after Black Friday, or who wanted to skip Black Friday altogether.

Jason Goldberger, president of Target.com and Mobile said, “We’re making Target.com a not-to-be-missed destination for deal-seekers on Cyber Monday and throughout Cyber Week”.

In addition to 15% site-wide discount on Cyber Monday, customers will have access to approximately 75 e-doorbusters. We’ve seen this price elsewhere. Many of these deals carry forward into early December, for even more holiday savings and there are some excellent offers on popular gift items, both online and in stores.
