Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominees
The award was established in 1970 and renamed in 1999 after the late Hall of Fame Chicago Bears running back, Walter Payton.
Additionally, the Lions have named linebacker Stephen Tulloch the team’s Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee.
John Elway (1992) is the only Broncos player to win the national award. Berry is one of 32 players honored and will represent his Kansas City Chiefs on the ballot.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been nominated for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. Donations will be courtesy of the NFL Foundation and Nationwide, according to a release. The victor will receive an additional $50,000 donation and the two runner-ups will receive an additional $6,000.
