Warning of wet and windy weather for Oxfordshire
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds and heavy rain.
Although it will be a dry start to the day outbreaks of rain are soon expected to spread in from the southwest, perhaps turning persistent and heavy in the afternoon.
The Met Office has warned that much of the region could be faced with rain and gale force winds from tomorrow until Saturday.
More than 20mm of rain is “expected quite widely”, with a lower likelihood of 60mm of rainfall and 40mph inland winds.
The Met office said the public should be aware of disruption particularly for those taking part in outdoor activities.
And do share with your family and friends – so they don’t miss out!
Any outdoor summer activities could be impacted by the weather as gale force winds and bands of rain sweep across the South East.
The organisation issued the warning on Thursday morning (July 23) and will be in place from Friday lunchtime through to Saturday morning.
“This could cause some disruption to those who were planning a day out in the countryside”.
