Warren Buffett joins the billionaires-for-Hillary club
Clinton’s event will be held at Omaha North High Magnet School beginning at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
The 85-year-old Berkshire Hathaway CEO said during a rally with Hillary Clinton in Omaha Monday that he has reserved Ollie the Trolley, a hallmark of Omaha transportation.
“He’s afraid because of you”, Buffett told the attendees.
Billionaire investor Warren Buffett campaigned aggressively for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in corn country on Monday – and questioned Donald Trump’s integrity because the Republican contender still has not yet released his personal tax returns. Tax returns reveal a lot more about a person’s finances than financial statements do, Buffett said. “Let’s give America a civics lesson”. Unlike many other states, Nebraska awards its presidential electors by congressional district, giving more reason to for a Democrat to compete there. The boundaries have since been redrawn to make the district less blue. “No member of the Trump family has gone to Iraq or Afghanistan”, said Buffett.
The mogul ended the video by pulling out a chauffeur’s cap and saying, “If this thing works out like I think it will and I hope it will, I think I may have a new profession: Warren Buffett, driver”.
Billionaire and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg also came out heavily against GOP nominee Donald Trump in his speech at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia Wednesday.
Trump has said he would not release his returns until the Internal Revenue Service has completed an audit.
“In 1995, Buffett said, “(if) a monkey had thrown a dart at the stock page, the monkey on average would have made 150%. But he has not shied from supporting Clinton and endorsed her in December.
Clinton enthusiastically received Buffett’s plan to get out voters and upped the ante.
