Warren Jeffs’ Kids Say He Molested Them

Both Roy and Becky believe that their father assaulted numerous children in the church, although they are not totally sure of the numbers.

The polygamist Mormon sect led by an imprisoned child rapist banned its men from fathering children and instead forced them to watch as their wives were raped by “seed bearers” – church members with “worthy bloodlines”.

At that trial his nephew and niece both testified that they had been raped by Jeffs when they were children – his nephew beginning when he was 5-years-old and his niece when she was 7-years-old.

“I thought, I’m not the only one molested, he’s done it to her it must be something that was in his nature”, Becky said on the show.

Despite being behind bars, Jeffs very much controls his church still and has even written a book – Jesus Christ Message to All Nations. “Where does it end?” How is he really our prophet?’

CNN tried reaching out to Warren Jeffs’ attorney, who did not have an immediate response from his client.

Becky told Ling that she first dared to speak aloud about the abuse she suffered at the hands of her deeply religious father when a sister revealed that Warren Jeffs – leader of the ultraconservative Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (FLDS) – had also molested her as a girl.

“One of my earliest memories is of him sexually abusing me”, Roy Jeffs says. Jeffs claimed the 12 and 15-year-old girls who he molested and eventually put in prison for were his “spiritual wives”.

According to Charlene Jeffs, the estranged wife of Lyle Jeffs who now oversees the sect, a new doctrine means “FLDS men are no longer permitted to have children with their multiple wives”. He said he was “at peace” with the conviction, and was imprisoned.

The FLDS, formerly led by Lyle Jeffs’s brother, Warren Jeffs, gained global attention in 2006 when USA authorities accused Warren Jeffs of sexual offences against girls he took as wives.
