Warren Sapp Plea Deal Domestic Battery
Warren Sapp pleaded guilty today to one count of domestic violence in Las Vegas, according to TMZ and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Under the plea deal, prosecutors dropped two of the three charges against him, the paper said.
A judge fined Sapp $345, ordered him to pay $2,555 in restitution, log community service and counseling time and stay out of trouble for six months.
Per the AP report, Sapp was charged with pulling the woman’s arm or purse during an incident in April at the M Resort in Henderson, then knocking her down later at her Las Vegas condominium. He was also banned from contacting the victim and must keep his nose clean for 6 months.
Sapp was accused of assaulting Moore on April 28 in an incident that began at a Las Vegas resort.
Moore told police Sapp began to pack his things as soon as they got inside her apartment, but the fight still continued. When they arrived, Moore said she threw a belt at Sapp but fell to the floor, which is when he stepped on her face. The solicitation charge was dropped when he completed a diversion program.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders standout also was arrested in February in Phoenix for assault and soliciting sex from a prostitute during Super Bowl weekend.
Sapp played in the National Football League from 1995 to 2007, and filed for bankruptcy in 2012.
