Warriors’ Bogut leaves Bucks game with back injury
“Friday will be a big game for us”.
Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors shoots the ball during their game against the Phoenix Suns at ORACLE Arena in Oakland, California, Wednesday. I think the confidence level is there, and when he gets energized or chirpy, we, as a team and a staff, we have his back.
“What we are trying to do is be an National Basketball Association championship team”. “We use our length on the defensive end and on the offensive end and we try to make it as tough as possible for them”. Green hit a free throw and then had his seventh assist of the game, feeding Festus Ezeli for a dunk that gave the Warriors a 103-102 lead.
“Show a little respect”, Mayo said.
“You talk about one guy’s class, and then you go the same route”. Golden State appeared to be happy to be back on their home court.
Green had 21 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, willing the Warriors to a win that improved their record to 26-1.
“We were very public about the fact that we wanted to get revenge”.
Golden State interim coach Luke Walton said he didn’t want to risk making the issue any worse. “If you’re going to say that about another team you should expect… they’re not going to fold”. The explosive point guard is one of four Celtics, along with Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder and Kelly Olynyk, averaging at least 14.8 points and shooting over 43 percent from 3-point range over the past four. “That’s something that needed to change and did”, Green said.
They played solid defense through three quarters as well. I was able to get a couple of buckets and spark our run.
“There’s definitely some of that that happens when we need a spark”.
“I told (Green) he’s a heck of a player, but at the end of the day, that’s my teammate”, Mayo told the media of the spat, via ESPN.
“Those are things we don’t appreciate”. “Mayo, one of seven Bucks who scored in double figures with 12 points, countered, “They’re world champs and we played them well tonight”. Two Miles Plumlee free throws with 24.9 seconds left would close out the scoring in the frame and send the game into halftime with the Bucks holding a 70-58 advantage.
_Bogut suffered a back sprain in the first quarter after playing five minutes and did not return. From there, however, the Bucks would close out the frame on a 12-4 run to take a 36-33 lead into the second quarter. They’ve scored 100 or more in every game this season except the 108-95 loss at Milwaukee last week. They put themselves in a position to win the game, just came up short.
