Warriors’ Harrison Barnes: Out at least three games
In case this is the first post you’ve read about the Warriors, they’re on a current winning streak of 18 games, without a loss mind you, that’s a historic start to the season.
Barnes missed the Warriors previous game and will likely miss at least three more. The Warriors trailed until the final six seconds of that quarter, but quickly took control in the second period against a Kings team missing leading scorer DeMarcus Cousins. Well now they have an injury to deal with to Harrison Barnes but fortunately it doesn’t appear to be too serious, according to Rusty Simmons of The San Francisco Chronicle.
The fourth-year forward, who sustained a sprained left ankle on Friday and sat out a win over Sacramento on Saturday, will be reevaluated next weekend at the soonest, the Warriors confirmed Sunday night. Brandon Rush started in Barnes’ place Saturday and scored 16 points, making him the favorite to open Monday’s game in the starting lineup in Barnes’ place. “We haven’t gotten the results back yet”, interim head coach Luke Walton told reporters before the game. “With an ankle sprain, it could be a couple weeks or it could be one week”. He will miss at least the next three games, however.
