Warsaw native Ben Higgins announced as 20th Bachelor for 2016

Here are five things you may not know about Ben Higgins, the suitor on the next season of “The Bachelor”. The announcement was made live Monday evening on ABC’s “Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise” show. I think he’s one of the few people that actually lives up to the hype. “Everything leading up to this has just been incredible”.

“I haven’t dated one well, ever”, Higgins joked.

While Higgins definitely had feelings for Bristowe, the Indiana native says it wouldn’t hurt if his future bride-to-be resembled a certain “Gossip Girl”.

Lowe apparently gushed about his time on the show during his conversation with Higgins.

Of course, now Ben is doing all of the gigs that you would expect from a new Bachelor, including appearing on “Good Morning America” this morning and talking about how ready he is for the gig.

“I think when that opportunity, if it happens, presents itself, it’s something you have to go at”.

Ahead of his turn as the 20th “Bachelor” this fall, adorable software salesman Ben Higgins turned to a past contestant who found lasting love for some words of wisdom. (Which I would totally watch.) And there are some very excited fans, too. For the next 10 weeks this spring, 26-year-old Ben Higgins will be the next bachelor and his participation was announced during the recent episode of “After Paradise“.

“I think rejection is a fear that comes with anything”. Ben is the only son of loving, married parents David and Amy, a union that has been going strong for thirty-four years.
