Washington College says it’s closing campus for gun threat
Washington College in Chestertown, Md. has closed its campus due to a gun threat, according to posts on the school’s social media accounts.
The parents of a sophomore at the college notified the school early Monday that he had come home and got a gun. His parents haven’t been able to reach him, and don’t know where he is. “Shelter in place and wait for word from DPS via WACAlert or email”.

Marberger was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and on the executive board of the Student Government Association, as the speaker of the senate.
Washington College located in Chestertown, Maryland, shut down Monday morning after reports that one of its students may have been in route to the campus and was armed with a firearm.
According to PS, those off campus should stay away from campus until the situation is resolved.

Public Safety has requested and received support from local law enforcement who are now on campus. Police officers are sweeping the college’s parking lots and campus buildings as part of their investigation.
