‘Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut’ (ALL) Gets Release Date
The Director’s Cut gives last year’s PC release of Wasteland 2 a “complete visual overhaul”, with improvements to textures, environments, and lighting, and “fully redone character and level art”.
InXile Entertainment announced that “Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut” will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Thursday, providing details about the upgrades done on the game, Inquisitr reports.
Those who want try out the “Director’s Cut” may do so at GamesCom where a demo gameplay for the game will be available at the booth of Deep Silver, said the Gamespot report. If the original game’s awesome storyline and gameplay were worth it though, then the Director’s Cut should up the ante even further. On the audio side, all major speaking parts and NPCs have also received new voice-overs and weapon sounds have been revisited in order to provide more variety and punch.
The updated version of the game features improved graphics, new perks, redesigned combat encounters, a new UI, and additional voice acting.
Wasteland 2 is the direct sequel to 1988’s Wasteland, the first-ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG and the inspiration behind the Fallout series.
More importantly, it will run on PS4 and Xbox One with full controller support.
