Watch Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen Star in a Bud Light Ad
‘America has seen the light, ‘ Schumer proclaimed.
“The one-minute ad shows Schumer and Rogen stumping around the country, promoting Paul Rudd and beer as the nations great unifiers”.
Amy Schumer: “My fellow Americans, they say we’re a nation divided”.
Sure enough, a grinning Rudd is sitting in the front row of the arena, surrounded by admiring fans. It also launches a new tagline, “Raise One to Right Now”, replacing the two-year-old “The Perfect Beer for Whatever Happens” campaign that was launched under BBDO and positioned Bud Light for spontaneous fun and included such stunts as branded town takeovers. Rudd himself is showcased in the ad, as is Michael Pena, who declares himself “really inspired” after Rogen ends his speech with quotes from “Independence Day”.
“But it’s not, like, too big”, Amy concedes of her proposed party while on horseback (?).
Why do we think they aren’t actually talking about a gathering of voters here? “You can handle it.” Heh.
You might not agree on politics, but you can agree on Bud Light.
Budweiser also pre-released an anti-drunk driving ad on Tuesday slated to air during Sunday’s big game starring Helen Mirren – who blasts drunk drivers by calling them a “utterly useless, oxygen-wasting human form of pollution”.
Anheuser-Busch will be again flooding the Super Bowl with beer ads.
