Watch Former President Obama, Michelle Obama Announce New Endeavor
As Donald Trump took power as the 45th president of the United States on Friday, former president Barack Obama launched a new website.
With the disappearance of the Obama White House’s policy webpages, information about issues such as climate change is no longer publicly accessible.
Rather than be replaced with details of Trump’s policies, the LGBT section has simply been deleted – along with other sections including climate change and women’s rights. “Well, he already deleted us from the White House website”, wrote a user.
Nevertheless, the Whitehouse web page appears scrubbed of references to “climate change” when entered in a search query on the site, aside from a reference to Mamie Eisenhower.
Whatever the environmental community was expecting to happen after President Trump’s inauguration Friday, the reality is probably worse. Some even tweeted they wanted to the Obamas back in action.
As you may have noticed, Sasha Obama will be tweeting from the @BarackObama handle, ceding @POTUS to President Donald Trump (who will, of course, continue to be active with his own personal Twitter account).
A third tweeted: “Random black woman described as “not Michelle Obama” on BBC News”. Is this thing still on?
“So, we want you to tell us what we should be thinking about as we get to work”, the former first lady added.
While Sasha works on finishing high school, her sister Malia has taken a year off from school before attending Harvard University in the fall.
First, we understand if you need to pause and let your brain process that sentence.
The four then posed for the cameras and their greeting could be heard on the TV news channels, which went silent.
Update: Twitter rep Nick Pacillo replies that Twitter did not push the message out to all American users, though I’m still seeking further clarification.
