Watch “Friends” Cast Reunite in Teaser Clip for James Burrows Tribute
The first promo for NBC’s upcoming “Friends” reunion special has arrived, and while Chandler may be MIA, this first clip has us giddy all the same. He is the man behind the pilot and that wonderful “we were on a break” special.
Not only does the cast of Friends sit down for a chat with Andy Cohen, but the special also features the casts of a ton of your favorite network comedies.
Along with cast members of various other programmes including Cheers, Will and Grace, Frasier and The Big Bang Theory, all the former Friends actors (aside from Matthew Perry, who is now performing on London’s West End) gathered together to reminisce about their time making the series.
In the short 40-second teaser, five sixths of the group – Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox and Matt LeBlanc – are seen on a couch talking about the programme.
In an interview, the stars were asked some Friends related questions, including: “Did you all sign contracts saying that you wouldn’t sleep with each other?”.
The question prompts some startled faces, and a “panicked” Lisa Kudrow to reply, “David, say something!”
Speaking to Graham Norton the actor told disappointed fans: “It’s not the reunion everyone is hoping for – they are celebrating Jim Burrows who was a director of Friends”.
The tribute show will air on February 21 at 9PM.
