Watch Jay McGuiness Find Out He Won ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ 2015

As faithful fans of the show will know, The Wanted’s Jay McGuinness was crowned the victor of Strictly Come Dancing 2015 this weekend.

McGuiness looked shocked when co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced his name.

However it was the public votes alone that counted and Jay came out on top with his pro partner Aliona Vilani.

The former Wanted star had always been a people’s favourite on the show but his glitterball challenge appeared to be fading going on judges’ scores in Saturday night’s final on BBC One.

When asked by The Sun newspaper whether Kellie should have won, Darcey confessed: ‘Definitely – without fail.

Earlier in the show, EastEnders’ actress Kellie Bright scored the first 40 of this series. “We’ll see”, he told radiotimes.com on whether he’d get an inking in memory of his time on the show.

“I couldn’t be happier”.

Meanwhile, broadcaster Katie Derham and partner Anton Du Beke finished in fourth place.

Eliminated at the beginning of the results show, the 45-year-old was magnanimous in defeat.

This marks Aliona’s second win – the first pro ever to win twice on the series.

“It was quick, it was slick”.

That meant that the remaining three couples had to dance again, this time it was over to the couples to pick their favourite routine from the series.

“A-ma-zing!” cried Revel Horwood.

However, McGuiness has claimed their romance was simply a showmance and they had to put on a romantic display as part of their dances. I have to say it was divine, you were in charge. Bruno said that Jay’s arm movements are among the best of the male celebs he’s seen.

Darcey Bussell said: “That was outstanding”.

After his two dances, Jay was placed third on the leaderboard with 71 points.

“Excuse the pun, but you’ve ironed out all the kinks”, stated Goodman.

Jay has previously said that he’s also formed a close bond with Aliona’s husband Vincent and the trio are “all as thick as thieves together”.

“Totally smitten by the sex kitten”. Len said “pure joy” and told Georgia that she’s a little fireball.

Their passionate showdance combined elements of tango and Viennese waltz. For their final dance Kellie and Kevin chose to do their Star Wars themed Charleston.

Greeted with praise from the judges, she earned the maximum of 40 points.
