Watch Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions as Forrest Gump
Sessions also weighed in on his good friend Kellyanne Conway, who allegedly isn’t allowed to speak on behalf of the Trump campaign following her latest highly publicized faux pas.
Instead of making a production out of Conway’s snafu, they simply incorporated McKinnon – seated with her legs folded underneath her – into several of the show’s shots, nearly as an afterthought.
“You know when an airline loses you luggage, and you can’t talk to the CEO so you end up screaming at some frazzled lady that’s now got to spend her lunch break crying into a lean cuisine?’ Che asked”.
“And I have a pie I made especially for you”, she adds, implying that it is the famous pie she served up in “The Help”, which she made from human feces.
Spencer handed McKinnon’s Gump the same type of pie her Minny Jackson role gave an old white lady in the movie.
Cast member McKinnon reprised her impression Sessions in a Forrest Gump style skit, which featured… well lots. Offering Jones a chocolate, which she turns down, he noted, “I always say, life is like a box of chocolates – sure are a lot of brown ones in there!” “I never talked to any Russians ever”, McKinnon said to one bench mate.
After stating that he didn’t talk to any Russians, Sessions soon began his conversation with a new traveler saying, “I talk to Russians”.
“Hello, my name’s Jeff”, said Kate McKinnon in a southern drawl, costumed like some kind of Keebler elf going to Sunday services.
‘A senator from up north started asking all these questions about Russian Federation and if I ever talked to ’em, and I got so nervous and confused. “I miss you, Kelly!”
And that’s not all: Next up in the skit is a visit from (a shirtless) “Vladmir Putin”, followed by one from Octavia Spencer, who reprises her Oscar-winning Minny character from The Help.
“Is this what I think it is?”
Later the show took a shot at congressional Republicans, with a fake movie trailer imagining what it would look like if a fictional Republican – person TBD – stood up to President Trump.
