Today’s LSU Tigers vs Ole Miss Rebels football game on CBS Sports live TV and live streaming online came very close to being a marquee match up on this packed NCAA football day.
Now the Tigers (7-2, 4-2 SEC, No. 15 CFP) and Rebels (7-3, 4-2, No. 22 CFP) are hoping to fix their issues on that side of the ball on Saturday.
After suffering back-to-back losses in as many weeks, will LSU bounce back as an underdog at Ole Miss today at 3:30PM ET?
According to LSU Board of Supervisors member Ronald Anderson, in an interview with Garnett Louisiana, Miles’ job may still be in jeopardy, regardless of the outcome of LSU’s final two games of the regular season.
LSU’s passing game isn’t almost as productive as that of Ole Miss, but it boasts one of the best running backs in the nation in sophomore Leonard Fournette. Lsu Tigers rank at 111 for 152.0 road passing yards where as Mississippi Rebels rank at 27 for allowing 159.2 passing yards at home.
Ole Miss (7-3) started off the season extremely hot and then fell apart in recent weeks. Rebels’ quarterback Chad Kelly leads the league in most passing categories. He threw three touchdown passes and ran for three more touchdowns in the loss to Arkansas.
Animosity is never in short supply when it comes to a showdown between the Tigers and the Rebels, and while the two teams are experiencing a downturn as they head into their 104th meeting, there will be no shortage of tension on the field Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. LSU needs to win out and for Alabama to lose out, because the Tigers lost to the Tide and would not have such an advantage.
Tigers Coach Les Miles said he’s seen a few improvement.
