Watch Man Attempt To Kidnap 4 Year Old

A man faces kidnapping charges after being caught on surveillance video snatching a 4-year-old girl from a Victorville cellphone store.

Video shows a mother walking into the store holding one child with the young girl by her side.

Suddenly, a man opens the door of the shop and grabs the little girl’s arm, pulling her outside.

The mom and another customer ran out and the girl managed to break free, clinging to her mother’s leg.

The store’s owner, Miguel Macias, says the women told him she had noticed a unusual man in the parking lot.

Witnesses nearby then tackled the would-be abductor until police came.

Luckily the child fell over outside and in a panic the kidnapper fled. Both babies were crying’. He ended up leaving the girl behind and ran down the street.

‘He was smiling like it was some kind of joke or something, ‘ Miguel Macias, Moriel’s husband, told NBC.

A spokesperson from the Victorville Police Dept. told InsideEdition.com that Ransom has an “extensive history of arrests” but nothing that involved children. Ransom was located near the scene and taken into custody with incident, according to authorities.

The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Terry Ransom, was arrested and held on $250,000 bail.

“Even though he got caught it just lets me know how risky this world can really be”, Moriel said.
