Watch Mexican Marines Raid El Chapo’s Secret Hideout
Officials warned the process could take a long time as Guzman’s lawyers will file legal appeals to keep their client in Mexico where he has already escaped from maximum security prisons twice.
Dramatic video footage has been released by the Mexican authorities, showing the moment they closed in on the world’s most-wanted drugs boss, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.
According to Mexican Attorney General Arely Gomez “Since Guzman Loera has been recaptured, the beginning of the extradition proceedings should begin”.
It’s a 15-minute video which shows Mexican special forces raiding a two-story house in the coastal town of Los Mochis and exchanging fire with the men tasked with guarding the drug lord.
In addition, three hours after the Navy’s statement, the Sinaloan newspaper El Debate published the photos of the five organized crime members that were killed by the marines and they all had one execution-style shot to the head. The marines were actually wearing GoPro cameras during the raid, so even though you weren’t there, now you can feel like you were.
“El Chapo” is now sporting a buzz cut behind bars – and his macho mustache is gone. The information to date is still contradictory as they say they were detained on a highway in some statements, while others say they were detained hiding out at a hotel.
In a story that seems engineered to tempt El Chapo into snuffing out its entire masthead, Reforma reports that the king of the Sinaloa cartel got an implant put in his testicles created to cure his erectile dysfunction.
Video of the raid that led to his capture first aired on the Mexican television network, Televisa. Guzman was captured in his home state of Sinaloa, Mexico, in the middle of the night by Mexican Marines.
