Watch Over an Hour of New Mad Max Gameplay

After a significant delay, Mad Max is finally releasing in a couple of weeks. One of the most recent movie reboots to hit the big screen, was the very impressive Hollywood blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road, which opened earlier in the year.

Mad Max’s arrival is imminent, but before he goes on his first next-gen video game journey, the folks at Avalanche Studios would like to show players what they’re in for.

However, it is not clear whether we will get to see Charlize Theron returning for Mad Max: The Wasteland. The pre-order bundle comes with the many-bladed Grizzlegrinda hood ornament which grants a boost to armour defense and The Ripper auto body for Max’s fully customisable vehicle, the Magnum Opus. A reluctant hero with an instinct for survival, Max wants nothing more than to leave the madness behind and find solace in the storied “Plains of Silence”.

The combat on foot is clearly modeled after the Batman: Arkham series (also published by Warner Bros, by the way), though of course Max doesn’t have any qualms in killing his enemies, unlike Batman.
