Watch Spider-Man brawl with heckler in Times Square showdown
The superhero may be slightly upset that no one came to his aid, as multiple bystanders instead filmed the altercation.
This new Spider-Man reboot is kind of weird.
A man dressed as the superhero took down a real-life villain who was pestering shoppers, tourists and pedestrians Thursday.
“The guy was harassing a number of performers, other costumed folks”, witness Geoff Goldberg told the tabloid. “They’ve notoriously had issues with him in the past”.
But he met his match when a performer dressed as Spider-Man leapt to the rescue, wrestling the man to the ground.
No police report was filed over Tuesday’s slugfest, and there were no immediate arrests, cops said.
A different costumed web-slinger said the heckler regularly hassles the panhandling characters and shouts racial slurs at them.
It’s not clear if this is the same Spider-Man who allegedly punched a cop in July 2014 near the same location.
The NYPD does not have a record of anyone arrested after the fight.
In April, Bishop sought $1.5 million from the city after prosecutors declined to bring a case against him.
