Watch The Queen Hilariously Scold Prince William In Public
While leaning down to talk to his toddler son, Prince George, Prince William was scolded by the queen to stand up straight.
There’s nothing quite as embarrassing as being told off by your grandma in public and poor Prince William had to face it in front of a huge crowd. Prince George hilariously facepalmed as soon as William obliged-perhaps unintentionally, but nevertheless providing the ideal reaction to the situation.
And it doesn’t matter that you’re a 33-year-old prince, with two children and a wife, because you can still get a right royal telling off. Queen Elizabeth II was having no part of her grandson sitting on his derrière as she and the rest of the royal family stood.
One’s never to old to receive a scolding, is one? But the queen, or “Granny” as he calls her, is a stickler for decorum. At the time, Will was riding a bike with his cousin Peter Phillips and they were chasing Peter’s sister Zara around the Balmoral Castle in Scotland. ‘You have this huge amount of respect for your boss and I always view her as my boss, but occasionally as a grandmother’.
He was seated, and she had to ask him to stand up.
