Water main break cuts water to most of Hoboken
The city saidthat the water company was working to fix a busted valve and that work would continue throughout the night and into Monday.
A large water main has caused flooding, water pressure and other issues in Hoboken according to the city’s website.
Police have asked drivers to use mass transit Monday morning, or avoid the south end of the city where many roads are expected to remain closed until the afternoon. Crews managed to get the water pressure back on in most of the city, but people living in high-rises on upper floors still had low water pressure or no water pressure at all. The break is reportedly at the intersection of Newark and Harrison streets.
Water North Jersey says residents should boil for at least one minute any water that will be consumed.

Emergency water tanks are available for residents to gather fresh drinking water at City Hall, 76 Bloomfield, 3rd/Jackson and at 311 13th St.
