Wayne Rogers, Trapper John from ‘MASH,’ dies
Actor Wayne Rogers died on Thursday surrounded by family after suffering complications from pneumonia, his rep exclusively tells ET.

Rogers, who hailed from Alabama, is best known for playing the role of Captain “Trapper” John McIntyre in the classic television series M*A*S*H from 1972-1975.
As army surgeon Trapper John on “M.A.S.H.”, Rogers swapped wisecracks with partner in martinis and mischief Hawkeye Pierce, played by Alan Alda.
The actor who played one of the most popular characters on the beloved television series, M.A.S.H. He portrayed the noted lawyer and civil rights activist Morris Dees in the acclaimed 1996 movie “Ghosts of MS”.
In later years, Rogers enjoyed a second career as an investor and money manager. He frequently appeared on Fox Business Network’s “Cashin’ In” and served as national chairman of the Easter Seals campaign. He also co-produced several of Neil Simon’s most successful Broadway shows.
Rogers is survived by his wife Amy, two children from a previous marriage and four grandchildren.
