Wayne Rooney expects rejuvenated Manchester United to challenge for Premier League title

The move to Juventus has made Pogba a better player and he is a player that is wanted by many clubs so it is not surprising that Jose Mourinho wants to bring him to United.

United boss Jose Mourinho has spent £56 million on two players this summer – defender Eric Bailly (£30m) and winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£26m).

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney thinks Paul Pogba has “unfinished business” at the club as talks continue over a world-record move to Old Trafford.

Wearing his United training kit, Schweinsteiger said: “Hi guys, thank you very much for the birthday wishes and the positive comments I received about the national team career, I feel very honoured. The deadline is August 31 and we have plenty of time to do that, but we would like to do that before the Premier League starts”.

“I know it’s a one-off game, but we want to show we can win a trophy early on… we feel that’s an important event for us”.

“I hope he is going to want to return to United and prove he’s a top-class player”.

“We are happy to sit down with him if he ever expresses a desire to return to Bayern in a different role”, he added.

“He had great ability, some of the things he could do, and he’s gone up a level since he left us”, Rooney told the Mail.
