Wayne Rooney makes admission over his Man United future

The teenager made his full team debut for the Red Devils in February and, after scoring twice on his United debut, he became the youngster scorer in a Manchester Derby after March’s 1-0 win.

Man United have been linked with forwards such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Breel Embolo in recent weeks and the indications suggest that Jose Mourinho sees Rooney as a midfielder ahead of the coming campaign.

Rooney still has three years to run on the existing deal he signed in February 2014 and will be nearly 34 when that expires.

The England global is now impressing in his midfield role for Roy Hodgson’s men at Euro 2016 this summer, and new United boss Jose Mourinho intends on using him in the same position in Manchester too.

The England striker is the highest goal scorer for the country and second only to Sir Bobby Charlton at Manchester United.
