We Are Headed for a Landslide Win in Bihar, Claims Nitish Kumar
Hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the leaders of secular alliance accusing it of pursuing regressive agenda with “18th century mindset”, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hit back dubbing Modi an “autocrat” and said he and BJP chief Amit Shah have been rattled by feedback of an imminent defeat in the Bihar Assembly polls.
Noting that Mr Modi has only belittled the office of the Prime Minister by using such language, he said the Congress will never stoop to such low levels in replying to the indecent remarks.
“Hamko desh ki fikr satati, Videshe ke daure par rahta tha woh, Har waqt apni selfie khinchta, Dawood ko laane wala tha woh Kahan gaya use dhoondo…” Nitish Kumar is the chief ministerial candidate, but he is with Lalu Yadav and Sonia Gandhi.
Emphatically rejecting options that his Mahagatbandhan Alliance, comprising of the JD-D, RJD and Congress on the one hand, and the BJP-led NDA are operating neck-to-neck in the 5-phased Bihar meeting elections, the third part of which ended yesterday with an over fifty three % voter turnout, Kumar stated, “There is no neck-to-neck in Bihar”. They can even allow the auction of Bihar.
Modi said that Bihar will celebrate real Diwali on November 8 and that this election would bring double joy to the entire nation.
Also four lakh jobs of teachers from primary school to colleges were vacant for years, he said, adding had Nitish Kumar government filled those vacancies at least two lakh dalit and OBC aspirants would have got jobs by now. “They want to take away five per cent from the EBCs and Dalits and give it to a particular group for whom there is no provision for reservations in the Constitution”, or the reference to attempts in the past to have five per cent reservation for minorities. He says there is no doubt that Modi continues to remain the most popular politician in Bihar and if this was the Lok Sabha polls, then there is no doubt that the masses would have voted for him.
Addressing an election rally at Marhaura in Saran district, the Prime Minister talked about development promising “bijli-paani-sadak” (electricity, road and water) and “kamai-padhai-dawai” (earning, education and medicines) for each family in the state.
“He has been caught red-handed seeking help of a tantrik. Modi had stated that Lalu is a ‘Virus” which has affected Nitish’s ‘Computer’. In Nalanda, which is boss pastor Nitish Kumar’s terrace, the turnout was 47.24%. “I have not come to power to enjoy the power of my position”. Modi attacked Nitish Kumar once again over his “arrogance”. When he submitted to Lalu ji, it was clear he was looking for options to save himself. This way you are insulting democracy.
Kumar questioned Modi for his silence on promises like bringing back black money from overseas, hike in MSP for farmers, youth employment, special status for Bihar among others.
