We Tried Starbucks’ New Toasted Graham Latte
Starbucks is serving a brand-new drink that will surely knock the holy grail of morning beverages off its perch: the Toasted Graham Latte, inspired by the flavor of your leftover cereal milk.
Toasted Graham Latte in a new illustrated cup. In fact, it might be our new favorite fall latte (gasp!) The beverage is less sweet than the PSL, so coffee lovers will like that they can still taste the espresso. She drew on an offering found in many Italian gelato shops – Fior di Latte, or the “flower of milk” – and coupled that sweet vanilla creme with the toasty flavor of graham cracker.
If you’re burned out from pumpkin spice everything, this is the beverage for you.
A Starbucks spokesperson told Mashable they want this latte to have the “nostalgic flavor of milk left behind in the cereal bowl”.
Just because it doesn’t taste super sweet, doesn’t mean it doesn’t contain quite a bit of sugar, though.
Although, we’re concerned about one thing: Now that mobile ordering is an option, how are baristas going to mess up our names in legendary ways?
A 12-ounce Toasted Graham Latte with 2% milk has 230 calories, 7 grams of fat and 31 grams of sugar, according to the company’s website.
The TGL will be available through the end of October or until supplies last. Let us know in the comments (below)!
