Weather forecast: Partially Cloudy Skies
Cloudy, damp weather will linger through the rest of the day, and it will be much colder with highs in the low 40s. We’ll almost double that this year, with the weather service predicting temperatures in the low to mid 60 across the region.
Sunday provides a low around 31 degrees, a higher near 41 degrees, and a 30% possibility of water. Low temperatures Saturday morning should be in the low to middle 30s. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms ahead of the cold front from Texas to the Great Lakes on Thanksgiving Day. Northeast wind 5 to 10 miles per hour becoming west in the afternoon.
Travel on Wednesday will be generally easy, with mild temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s and mostly cloudy skies.
Rain originally forecast for Thursday night is now expected to arrive Friday, with the brunt of the wet stuff arriving after 4 p.m. At this point, it does look like we’ll see some rain over North Mississippi Saturday. Temperatures will be dipping into the 40s thanks to a cold front and rain is likely.
This morning was a bit warmer, but still below freezing.
Sunday should be partly sunny and 36, the Weather Service said, with a chance of rain and snow at night.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy, chance for a sprinkle.
Wednesday: Rain likely. High: 50s.
Wednesday night through Thanksgiving afternoon: Rain is expected to increase and be heavy at times, could even hear a few rumbles of thunder although most of it will just be rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50.
“High pressure overhead will allow for plenty of sunshine, dry conditions and milder air into Black Friday”, AccuWeather Meteorologist Evan Duffey said.
