Weather presenter fills report with Star Wars puns

Channel 5 weather girl Sian Welby managed to cram in a fantastic amount of jokes and wordplay referring to the space saga on Wednesday evening, and it’s absolutely wonderful.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens held its United Kingdom premiere yesterday in London, making it the flawless day for such a fun forecast.

You aren’t the only one pumped to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

“However there will be a fairly light breeze but the Force is strong for northern Scotland and tonight the weather [Empire] Strikes Back”.

Don’t be a trooper; please take care on the roads, it could be hard driving conditions. On October 21 – better known as Back to the Future Day – Welby rattled off several Back to the Future puns so good that Marty McFly’s father would probably do that weird dad-laugh in appreciation of her skills.

With Star Wars fever sweeping the world, after generally positive reviews of the new film, this maybe the first of many viral videos to come out.
