WEATHER – Sunny. High around 80F
Yes, a slow return to more summer-ish weather is ahead for this week.
Get ready for more heat and humidity…. We stay wet weather free as a ridge of high pressure continues to dominate weather across the East. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s.
But some changes are afoot. “Temperatures will drop to around 70 degrees by daybreak”, Elwell said. Each day, with sea breezes developing, coastal towns will be a bit cooler. Wednesday begins with low humidity, but that will increase through the day. Another night of comfortable sleeping weather. Saturday and Sunday look to be sunny with highs in the upper 80s. It will be more humid too, with dew points climbing into the 60s (at least).
Friday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. That is a very long range forecast and it’s nearly as likely we don’t see any rain, but with the drought this summer it does bear watching.
Friday is the one hiccup in an otherwise attractive, comfy forecast.
By Friday high temperatures will pop into the low 90s with more humid conditions. Again, it will feel hotter this weekend because of the humidity.
But Friday’s heat and humidity will be short-lived.
A cold front with spotty showers and thunderstorms enters our area Thursday evening, but with a lot of dry air to battle, not much wet weather will make it through.
