Werk! Ashley Graham Has The Fiercest Runway Show At Fashion Week!

Model and plus-size fashion advocate Ashley Graham strutted down the Fashion Week runway on Tuesday, modeling her lingerie collaboration with body-diverse Canadian retailer Addition Elle.

“We’re not where we need to be yet – but we’re definitely making great progress”, she told Perez Hilton.

Ashley looked sensational in a black bra and high waisted briefs with racy sheer lace detailing, completing the showstopping ensemble with a matching kimono and strappy black sandals.

Following in the footsteps of fellow models-turned-lingerie designers Elle Macpherson, Heidi Klum, Ber Refaeli and Gisele Bundchen, what sets Graham apart from those household names is that she is a curvaceous size 16.

You may also remember her as the model who Instagrammed her version of the “Beach Body Ready” campaign as a backlash to the original, with the tagline ‘curves in bikinis’.

The 41-year-old designer showed her latest collection over the weekend and while there was praise for her Spring/Summer 2016 Collection, others on social media criticised the weight of the models on the runway.

While the show was such a memorable and iconic event, what she’s looking forward to most is the day where it doesn’t even faze people that she’s hit the runway.
