Wesley Snipes | Blade 4 plans are ‘up in the air’

The last time Snipes donned the fangs and black shades for the role was in 2004 for Blade Trinity. In the years since Blade’s original release, The Dark Knight trilogy and Marvel’s cinematic universe has burned down any presumptions Hollywood had about the success and/or quality of a comic book film.

Well, will you be bringing the vampire hunter back?

“I’ve always been a fan of these pieces and adaptations and it’d be nice to be a part of the family again”, he said, explaining that he’s not limiting himself to one idea or even one franchise.

In an interview with Deadline, actor Wesley Snipes talks about his future plans with Marvel Studios and the return of Blade.

“We have some other characters and some other concepts that are going to be just as exciting and hopefully just as successful”, he teased. It was thought that Midnight Sons characters like Blade and also back in under Marvel control, Ghost Rider, could see the online streaming series world. The first season of The Player will be interesting as well because we have drama and action, which is what I like. “They have their model and their agenda, and we have ours, so we’ll see if everything lines up”.

At the Comic-Con panel for his upcoming NBC series The Players, Snipes mentioned that he has had discussions with Marvel about Blade 4, but it’s all still up in the air.

Our guess is that the chances of Blade 4 remain quite slim, but stranger things have happened.
