West Ham pair Winston Reid and Victor Moses out until new year
Winston Reid and Victor Moses are the latest members on the injury list and this will be concerning for West Ham since they are both important parts of the side.
Bilic has decided that it can not be a coincidence and he pointed to the manner of Reid’s injury, saying that the centre-back hurt his hamstring after he slipped at the start of a session.
Under par pitches at their current home means Bilic had no choice but to move the players and the number of injuries are building up.
The Hammers have been badly hit by injury over the last month, with midfielder Manuel Lanzini ruled out for six weeks because of a thigh injury and striker Diafra Sakho sidelined for three months with a similar problem.
Bilic lamented the Hammers’ growing injury list, but called on the fit players in his squad to stick together and cover the absences. “It gives us confidence ahead of a really busy and hard period as we try and get back into the top ten like where we believe we should be”. “We don’t know how long he’ll be out for yet, we’ll know more tomorrow after the scan”, Bilic said. Reid is clearly one of the most under-rated players in the Premier League, for if he had been playing for a team like Manchester United this whole time, the general British sporting media would have likely gone nuts.
That it will, and West Ham’s ongoing injury problems will not help matters.
Victor Moses will be out until the New Year after picking up an injury at Old Trafford. I decided on Monday next week, we will go.
“We were planning on moving the training ground to Rush Green at the end of the season; now we are moving that forward”, he said. “It has nothing to do with the groundsmen or the medical staff – it’s just the way the ground is here”.
Sullivan wrote: “Very bad news… I am optimistic that we will manage”.
“It doesn’t look good”, added Bilic.
