West Ham striker Carroll to miss Swansea clash: Bilic
Goal-shy Swansea will hope to improve their torrid recent home record when they welcome West Ham to the Liberty Stadium on Sunday (4pm).
WWE superstar HHH has pledged his allegiance to West Ham after being asked to name his favourite Premier League team.
Andy Carroll is likely to miss West Ham’s Barclays Premier League trip to Swansea after suffering a groin injury.
Bilic said he expected the team to compete against Swansea City.
West Ham gave Triple H an official customized jersey, and in a tweet, Carroll joked (or maybe not) that he could actually take on Triple H. Sometimes they were unlucky, as they definitely were at Manchester City last weekend. “The bonding, the quality and the character we have showed are positive, of course, so I’m really confident for Sunday’s game”. To be fair, they deserved to win that game.
Swansea have no new injury worries and are set to be boosted by the return of midfielder Jonjo Shelvey (calf). The first league game between the two clubs came on 27 August 1932, when the club then known as Swansea Town – it did not become a city until 1969 – won 1-0 in Division Two, again at their old Vetch Field stadium.
Andy Carroll was injured in training this week.
“I think it will be one game only, that’s what the medical team has told me”.
The money spent on transfers at Stamford Bridge makes relegation hard to envision for a club that won the Champions League just three-and-a-half years ago and claimed last season’s Premier League so convincingly.
