What about flying with the new Star Wars Themed Plane?
Japanese airliner ANA is adding two new Force Awakens-themed liveries to their fleet, launching later this year.
Japan’s All Nippon Airways can’t get enough Star Wars. The new planes will join a previously announced R2-D2 jet.
The special ANA Star Wars planes will also display in-flight decorations, such as headrest covers, paper napkins and cups featuring Star Wars characters.
The airline will also exclusively offer all six now released Star Wars films as part of its in-flight entertainment options. ANA says that marks the first time that any of the Star Wars movies have been included as part of an in-flight entertainment system.
While there are no X-Wings or TIE-Fighters to be seen, ANA will follow the October debut of the R2 motif with a Boeing 767-300 with a Star Wars livery featuring R2-D2 on one side and franchise newcomer BB-8 on the other.
BB-8, incidentally, is the new robot character from the upcoming Star Wars movie The Force Awakens, a “ball droid” that scutters around looking cute and beeping at people.
“We’re thrilled to unveil the designs of our new Star Wars themed planes, and I’m sure fans across the world will love the look”, said Osamu Shinobe, President and CEO of ANA.

Domestic services were due to begin in November with the Boeing 767-300, while the 777-300ER with the BB-8 livery was expected to serve mainly North American destinations in ANA’s network.
