The TV legend, who fronted Surprise Surprise and Blind Date before later suffering from hearing problems and arthritis, reportedly died overnight after flying to her Spanish home in Estepona on the Costa del Sol. A spokesman for Spanish police said everything pointed to her having died of natural causes, the Daily Telegraph and Daily Mirror newspapers reported. Here’s one of her early tunes, written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, who both make a cameo apperarance in the video. “When she found out we were getting married she was overjoyed and surprised it had happened, considering how many people hate each other on the show and the unlikely way we met. We were the first success story”.
Sir Cliff revealed he was due to visit her in Spain next week. She said, “Bobby’s waiting for me”. “She was a resplendent and rare talent”. Cilla was a dear and loyal friend and I will miss her terribly.
“My heart goes out to her family – Bobby, Ben and Jack – her sons and their families”. However, it seems apparent that she died of natural causes, reports The Telegraph.
