What’s new? Warriors, 23-0, win again, beat Pacers

IN might have got that lead down to single-digits again in the fourth quarter, they might scored the most out of any team this season on Golden State, but that five minutes of terror effectively won the game in the first quarter.

The Golden State Warriors improved to 23-0 last night with a 131-123 victory over the Indiana Pacers.

Golden State has also won 13 straight road games this season, going past the 1969-70 New York Knicks record (12) for the league’s best road start.

Curry, the league’s leading scorer, finished with 29 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and three 3-pointers, tying Rashard Lewis’ NBA record of 87 consecutive road games with at least one basket from beyond the arc.

Warriors interim coach Luke Walton has noticed some not-so-subtle changes around the league this season. We just don’t know, and maybe we won’t find out if they continue to win games.

Tuesday’s eight-point margin was not a true reflection of proceedings after the Warriors led 111-83 at the start of the final quarter in Indianapolis.

After the game, Thompson said he rolled an ankle stepping on another player’s foot, and while he expects it to be bruised and sore for several days, he does not expect to miss extended time. Thompson did just that last night late in the Warriors’ win over the Pacers, and may have to sit a few games.
