What Time & Channel are the Golden Globe Awards on Tonight?

The John Carney-directed Sing Street is up for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

When Ricky Gervais hosted the Golden Globes for the fourth (and, hopefully, not final) time previous year, he joked that the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. threatened to personally pull him off the stage if he said anything “offensive or crass” or resorted to innuendo. Supporting Actress – The victor will be Thandie Newton in Westworld. Hell or High Water has three nominations as well; Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture Drama (Jeff Bridges) and Best Screenplay (Taylor Sheridan).

Williams and Benjamin Wallfisch, “Hidden Figures”. Favorites include “La La Land”, in the movie categories, and “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” among the hot TV nominees. She is competing against Caitriona Balfe, Claire Foy, Keri Russell and Evan Rachel Wood for this category.

When it comes to TV awards, the HBO has in its kitty a good number of nominations for this year’s awards as well under various categories and the network is expected to shine bright.

For drama actor, nominees are Rami Malek for “Mr. Robot”, Bob Odenkirk for “Better Call Saul”, Matthew Rhys for “The Americans”, Live Schreiber for “Ray Donovan” and Billy Bob Thornton for “Goliath”.

Nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for “Fences”.

Supporting Actor – The victor will be John Lithgow in The Crown. You can say the same for Mandy Moore and Chrissy Metz on This Is Us, but I think Thandie takes this one.
