WhatsApp for Web finally works for iPhone users
With the release of the WhatsApp web client for iOS, iPhone users can now link the instant messaging app with their computers. The announcement implies that the users of Apple iPhones can now use the WhatsApp service on the Web.
Android, Windows and BlackBerry owners are already able to use WhatsApp Web, which launched for them at the start of the year.
Once, that is resolved, you check in the settings menu for an option called WhatsApp Web. Once this change is made, WhatsApp Web users can simply navigate to the WhatsApp Web page as usual and proceed with the QR code scanning step. We have tested the feature on Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
In the meantime, the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp appears to be working fine on Windows 10 Mobile, but there’s no doubt that a new build that would be specifically designed for this version would come in very handy for those who upgrade.
As 9to5Mac points out, the new functionality is not actually a software update to be received through the App Store. WhatsApp Web would launch in a couple of seconds on your computer. It showed that support for iPhone users was listed on the website of the service.
The most notable of its newest features is WhatsApp Calling. The main WhatsApp Web updates were reported to include the ability to edit profile photos, managing chats, and improvements to the WhatsApp Web contact and group info panes. The deficiencies of previous versions of Internet Explorer often thwarted attempts to bring web apps, such as WhatsApp Web, to the entire ecosystem (indeed it looks as if IE won’t ever support WhatsApp Web).
WhatsApp Web allows users to connect their WhatsApp account with their Macs or PCs so they can chat with their friends and view their messages straight from the web client itself.
