WhatsApp updates app for new iPhone
It doesn’t matter if you’re still using an old iPhone since the app brings a whole new display with rich previews.
The Peek feature allows iOS users to preview the content on the app without having to open it. To use the Pop feature, users have to firmly press a notification and will be able to view content and navigate to it. So users can also browse through conversations, without actually opening it. Pop allows users to quickly open the chat.
According to WhatsApp, the Settings tab has also been revamped and users can now see the messages that have been starred appear right under the Starred Messages category.
Joining this list today is WhatsApp which has just today sent out an updated version for iOS.
Whatsapp has been updated to v2.12.11, now also supports rich preview for links that are shared within the app. The app users will have the option to not include a rich preview. Furthermore, you can check through starred messages at a glance across all chats in the Settings Menu, reports IBTimes.co.uk. Apple’s cooking up a brand new iOS 9 update that’s set to deliver new fixes and new features to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users.
Surprisingly, Waze for iOS is already at version 4.0.1 (the 4.0 release brought a major UI overhaul and a few new options) while the Android flavor is still at 3.9.6.0, which is kind of weird, given the fact that the app is owned by Google, the very same company that makes the mobile OS.
Overall, both apps are clearly must-haves for those on iOS, especially if they own an iPhone 6s or a 6s Plus, which are now the only models featuring 3D Touch.
