WhatsApp Web Now Available for iPhone Users
WhatsApp Web connects to your iPhone to sync messages with your computer, allowing you to send and receive messages from your web browser and view conversations on both devices.
How long this takes to arrive for all iPhone users is anyone’s guess, however WhatsApp is officially listing iPhone support on its Web client page, so we can only assume it will be switched on for all imminently.
Interestingly, in somewhat of an anomaly in today’s tech world, support for BlackBerry, Windows Phone and some Symbian… yes, Nokia Symbian, had been offered before today’s addition of iOS.
WhatsApp users on Reddit first noticed the mention of WhatsApp Web support for iPhone users listed on the service’s website.
A solid seven months after the functionality was opened up to Google Chrome and Android users, iOS device patrons can now get in on the act.
Those with the latest version of the phone app (available for free in Apple’s app store) should find a new “web” menu option under “settings” – although the function is being rolled out in stages and will not be immediately available to all.
At the time, it was stated that the company would “not be able to provide web client to our iOS users due to Apple platform limitations”.
