When does The X Factor 2015 start on TV? Premiere date confirmed!
The 12th series of the talent show will return with a 90-minute special on Saturday 29 August at 8pm on ITV.
New recruits Nick Grimshaw – who takes Louis Walsh’s seat – and Rita Ora, who fills Mel B’s shoes, join pint-sized Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Simon Cowell in welcoming a fresh bunch of singing hopefuls to the stage. Will you be watching?
There have also been some strong hints that series twelve (yes TWELVE) of the X Factor is going to see some major shake-ups to the format. However, Bootcamp is reportedly getting a makeover.
“Simon can see where the money is going to come from and will make sure Fleur is the next big thing”. The action will then head back to the arena for the Six Chair Challenge, which will be filmed on 1 and 2 September. “For 2015, the room auditions have been dropped, and reports suggest the judges” houses rounds could be screened live.
The singer isn’t afraid to speak her mind… Paloma Faith has been mooted as a possible name to help out Grimmy, in move made by Simon to stop her signing up for “The Voice”.
She said, “It’s looking more likely to be next year”.
Of how they’re doing on the show so far, an X Factor insider said, “The girls were good the first time, but this time they were miles better”.
As observant as ever: Cheryl comments, ‘you twerked up a storm in here tonight, didn’t you?,’ after one particularly bootylicious performance’.
The series will be broadcast on AXS TV just one day after each episode, with the premiere airing on Sunday, August 30.
