When is the CNN GOP debate?

The top 11 Republican presidential candidates, as determined by an average of national polls, will descend on California Wednesday night for the second GOP primary debate of the 2016 cycle. The group will house the same ten men who debated in the last Fox News debate, which caused several headlines because of one guy (Trump) and a certain moderator (Megyn Kelly), with the addition of Carly Fiorina.

The gap between Trump and Carson has shrunk a bit since the last poll, but Trump remains far ahead.

So he is buying time on CNN, the network hosting the debate, so he can run an ad during the commercial breaks. Expect verbal fireworks when they get together on stage for the first time along with eight other Republican candidates. Generally a low-key, policy-focused candidate, Bush has grown visibility irritated by Trump’s jabs, particularly the real estate mogul’s contention that he is a “low energy” candidate.

As the world prepares to watch the second GOP debate on Wednesday, the candidates are lining up in a battle between the “outsiders” and “the establishment”.

Those higher levels of Granite State support may also reflect the fact that Kasich and Fiorina have been two of the most dogged retail campaigners in the state in recent weeks.

The majority of Trump and Carson’s supporters in New Hampshire say it’s “very important” for a candidate to say “what he or she truly believes”. Wednesday will be the first time they’ve come face to face since he made his controversial comments, and she subsequently turned them into an ad for her campaign.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former New York Gov. George Pataki and former Pennsylvania Sen.Rick Santorum.

Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker and Mike Huckabee all rounded out the top of the field by polling in between 5 and 1%. Those interested can use the hashtag #CNNDebate on Twitter to submit debate questions.
