When Ranveer and Deepika kissed Bajirao Mastani director Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Bajirao Masthani 1st Day/ Day 1 Box Office Collections: Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra: The Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s yet another extravagant attempt Bajirao Masthani is going to hit the screens on 18th December 2015.

Music is supposed to play a key role in Bajirao Mastani in enhancing the dramatic impact of the tale, but the songs do not appear to be organically linked to the narrative.

Bajirao Mastani has no dearth of sequences created to dazzle the eye and move the heart. The film soon becomes a royal triangle, with Bajirao unwilling to listen to his advisors-and his formidable mother, Radhabai (Tanvi Azmi)-and keep his new love under wraps as his mistress, and Kashibai and Mastani out-sacrificing each other for his well-being.

Epic film Bajirao Mastani depicting some nuances of the Maratha history is already mired in controversy at home, with Peshwa Bajirao’s family members objecting to the way the characters have been depicted. It suits for the people who loves classics. In Asif’s movie, the courtesan Anarkali openly declares her love for the prince Salim before a court presided by his aghast father, the Emperor Akbar, in the Palace of Mirrors.

It is, however, the love story of the Peshwa and the half-Muslim Bundelkhandi princess Mastani that takes centrestage for the most part. Bajirao is a high budgeted movie in Bollywood. Military conquest was expensive then, as now, but again, there is mere talk and no evidence on the ground of the precarious state of the treasury. Quite obviously, Dilwale got more screens than Bajirao Masthani.

Will this demonstration go on and more shows be cancelled?

The overblown climax follows a careful balance of surface beauty and inner turmoil.

Coming to star cast, Bajirao Mastani has huge stars like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra. His expressions, Marathi accent and dedication towards the work are superb.

The movie is blessed with some fine performances from its lead actors. They felt dancing, the tunes and behavior of the celebrities in the movie to be distasteful. Pat down to adopting the steady Maharashtrian accent, to building up his body to convincingly look like a warrior, Singh is excellent.
