Where was Hillary Clinton during the debate?
The first Republican presidential debate wrapped up Thursday night in Cleveland, and Gov. Scott Walker was one of the candidates on that stage, along with nine other contenders.
Clinton, who is vying for the Democratic nomination for the White House, said in a statement during the debate,”I’m not watching, and I don’t need to be”. “In about 144 minutes there was not one idea … about what they would do to raise incomes for middle-class families”.
“The voters of Wisconsin elected me last year for the third time because they wanted someone who aimed high, and not aimed low”, Walker said.
Palmieri was speaking to reporters from a filing center the Clinton campaign set up at its headquarters in Brooklyn.
At an Outagamie County GOP watch party at Gather Americana Restaurant in Appleton, attendees cheered as Walker jumped in on a question on foreign policy to criticize Clinton’s record as Secretary of State.
But, instead, the GOP candidates mostly attacked one another, and the Clinton campaign staff offered only limited remarks as the debate unfolded.
Donald Trump implied Clinton’s favor could be bought and sold, noting his prior political donation to her. He said the Army and Marines should have no less than 500,000 troops, and that the Navy needs more ships to preserve worldwide trading routes and global stability. “It hurt her feelings for him to suggest he didn’t actually want her there for her company”.
If this election is a resume contest, then Hillary Clinton will be the next president. Bush’s performance on Thursday was unsteady. If I’m the nominee, how is Hillary Clinton going to lecture me about living paycheck to paycheck? “Some days I am concerned Jeb Bush won’t be the nominee”. Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. “They have the national stage, and they are speaking to such a small segment of the population”.
“John Kasich is not for gay marriage”.
“Those are the kinds of things that will send a clear message around the world”, he said.
“That it was still the Trump show”, she said.
Candidates also expressed opposition to the recently completed nuclear deal with Iran, which critics say will make Tehran a nuclear threshold state and grant it as much as $100 billion in sanctions relief to further bolster its regional terrorist proxies.
