Tottenham’s newest signing Heung-Min Son has received his work permit and will be available for the matchday squad Sunday against Sunderland.
Spurs on the other hand, are keen for the player to avoid any gaffes before he makes his debut for the Lilywhites, especially involving bitter rivals Arsenal.
“Tottenham officials already told me I can’t even buy a red auto”, he told Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo.
This policy will make it very hard for Son to represent his country, who also play in red jerseys. “Since I’m a forward, my goal-scoring record will speak for me”, he added.
‘Tottenham plays aggressive football, which I like very much, and I like to pressure opponents from the front.
The 23-year-old became the most expensive Asian player in history when he completed his £22m move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the latter stages of the summer window (via Express).
Along with fellow new recruit Clinton Njie, Son, who scored 15 goals in all competitions for Leverkusen last term, will likely be deployed primarily as a supporting striker in the near future, with Harry Kane yet to score this season and chairman Daniel Levy failing to agree a deal to sign Saido Berahino from West Brom. Pochettino’s side have failed to win any their opening four Premier League games and now lie 16th after registering three consecutive draws.
